The short answer is: Yes, you do have to be a resident of UT Housing to participate.

How can I see what items are currently available?
Once you register on the site, then you can see the available items.
However, please keep in mind that you cannot request any items until your user id has been
activated. Your user id will typically be activated one or two days after you register.
This one-to-two day delay allows us time to verify that you are eligible for the program
and that we have some volunteers who might be able to help out with any deliveries.

How many items can I borrow?
We currently have it setup so that you can borrow up to 5 items. One item
from the Large category, two items from the Small or Medium category, and
two items from the "Yours to Keep" category.

Can I tell my friends about this program?
If you have a friend living at UT Housing, then yes, we definitely encourage you
to tell them about this program. We want your help in letting other residents
know about this program.

How long can I keep the items that I borrow from this program?
In general, the items are yours as long as you are a student in Austin. Once you are finished
with your stay in Austin, we ask that you contact us about returning the items or passing the items
on to a friend in need.

How do I return items that I have borrowed?
Contact us when it is time to return the items. Oftentimes, our storage areas are full
and we encourage you to pass on the items to friends as opposed to returning the items
to our program.

Can I sell the borrowed items once I am finished using them?
No, we do prefer that you keep with the spirit of the program. The items are provided to you
free of charge. We ask you to either return the items to us if you do not need them anymore, or
to give the items free of charge to any of your friends in need.
